Mise-en-Scene can be defined as “putting into the scene”[1] and controls what is seen in the frame. This includes things such as lighting, setting, costume and the behaviour of the figures.  Mise-en-Scene helps the director make choices on what he wants the scene to look like and what impact it has on the viewer.
